Favorite Alpine Item of the Week!

Hestra gloves and mittens from Sweden

This week we are keeping our hands toasty warm with Hestra gloves and mittens!  Hand crafted in Hestra, Sweden, the Magnusson Family has been master glove makers since 1936.  Sewn entirely by hand, many of these gloves take up to 2 hours to make.  The craft of creating such detailed gloves is almost a lost art, with only 2 members of the Magnusson Family (and the only Swedes) to become certified in over 47 years.  From gloves made with supple leathers to waterproof nylon or even gloves (and mittens) with adjustable built-in heaters these gloves are sure to make you want to stay out on the mountain for a few more runs!
